Grim Passion: Angelic Pretty Dreamy Baby Room Series

Being a huge fan of Angelic Pretty, the day the rumors started of the Dreamy Babys room release was in high controversy on some of the Lolita forms online.

This is because of the argument of Lolita being related to "AgePlay. Especially with sweet Lolita styles.
This argument always annoyed me because the idea of dressing up in Lolita is because of a desire to be a child, is ridiculous.

On to the dress:
The print is very similar to Dreamy Dollhouse, Toy Fantasy, and Toy Parade. All 3 of these prints were very popular, and even Toy Parade got a re-release.
I feel it lacks originality, but from an artist point of view, I feel like the expression of this sort of style has a desire to be told in the same style, with a different arrangement, theme and print. It is a story thats continued to be told. I have no doubt in my mind this is not the last we will see a print similar to this.

The hype over this print being related to age play and children is because of its theme. Rattles, Baby bottles, pacifiers, baby carriages, ..it is no wonder why this print has its likes and dislikes. But i admit, its a bold move.

The head bow is very cute I must add! I like it a lot considering lots of Lolitas like to add charms and accessories to bows. I enjoy its design.

Tights are another big thing right now. I find it very cute to have them, but i wish they did not over look releasing socks, though I'm sure, it would be very easy to cord socks like Shy bear OTK socks to make the dress feel more original and customized. Which are Ava on the USA site.

I also love bonnets, this is very cute for a bonnet, but again, its a very fine line for the criticism for the Age play argument. But the head bow gives it a nice change of pace incase one does not want the bonnet. I again over all love the execution of adding a cute charm on the side, and the usage of color for the ribbon. Again, I love bonnets, and love having them ! I get bonnets any chance I get :)

Classic choice of colors for the dress, except I see no lavender. I'd imagine that color way would be highly popular for this series.

Is this print a nice middle finger to people who make fun of Lolita's and accuse them for age play? Id like to think so. But i also find it a fuel to the fire for those who cant help but make fun of Lolita's, calling them baby dolls, and age players.

As for myself, I do not see myself owning this particular print. but I must respect Angelic Pretty for releasing something that has the Lolita world and the non Lolita world in a huge rucks !
